In the last month Dean Moor Moto Park has been through some changes, here's the latest update. Wednesday 25/05/10.
The track owners, Malcolm and Keith, had invited up some riders such as Jamie Law, Brad Todd, Callum Thomason, Justin and Jason Edgar, John Skelton, Sam Braithwaite, Frazer Clarke and Ricky Gibbon to try the track out.
The Step-up
Let's start with the biggest change, the step-up. It's massive, uphill and out of a corner none the less Mr Law was over jumping it by a good thirty foot and still playing up for the camera. The rest of the lads got to grips with it pretty quickly aswell.
Rolling Whoops
So on a straight where a 60ft ski jump and a 50ft table were built to slow the track down a rolling whoop section was added to slow it further and make it more technical. We were more than impressed with the whoop section, it done exactly what it was supposed to do by slowing the pace down to the next corner, even though rider's like Callum Thomason and Jamie Law Tripled in and Doubled out of them.
Bowl turn
The finish line corners at the last meeting rutted up quicker than a pair of kegs after a curry
, so there's now a new bowl corner in there to try and get riders to run out wide instead of scraping the fence posts.
Inside Line
To incourage a better choice of lines, there has been a few singles put on the insides of corners.
Expect big changes at Dean Moor, the Fultons are working extremely hard to make the track awesome!
